A walkable glass floor becomes both a structural architectural element and a source of natural light in this private residence.
Integrated beneath the open-riser staircase, our custom glass floor panels transform an otherwise underutilized area into a distinctive design feature. The translucent glass allows daylight from the upper level to pass into the gallery below, where the panels create a luminous ceiling that softly illuminates the artwork and enhances the connection between the two spaces.
Set within our proprietary standard black framing system, the glass floor complements the staircase’s steel structure, wood treads, and frameless glass railings while preserving the home’s clean, contemporary aesthetic.
