Morabito Consultants is proud to have provided structural engineering services for the renovation of the High Ridge Building in Howard County.

Working alongside MW Studios - Architecture + Interiors and Allen + Shariff Corporation, our team supported the project with structural design for the new ADA-accessible ramp, infill of the removed stair opening, roof framing analysis and reinforcement for new mechanical equipment, and coordination of updated sprinkler and MEP systems throughout the building.

We’re honored to contribute to projects that extend the life of existing facilities and support our local communities.

County officials and community leaders recently celebrated the reopening of the High Ridge Center, a former school, with its new purpose.

Morabito Consultants recently completed the terrace structural and waterproofing restoration at McAuley Hall on the Johns Hopkins Mt. Washington campus in Baltimore.

Working alongside Concrete Protection & Restoration Inc., demolition revealed multiple concealed topping slabs and the original structural clay tile deck — requiring adaptive engineering and careful coordination.

The result: a restored terrace with new waterproofing, drainage, and pedestal pavers designed for long-term performance.

Milestone reached for the renovation at the Bellevue Bathhouse in Philadelphia. The pool and spa secondary containment slabs are placed and ready for concrete pool forming and reinforcement installation.

Morabito Consultants, Inc. (MC) is serving as Structural Engineer of Record for this new spa and wellness environment within the historic Bellevue Hotel, designed by Tantillo Architecture, alongside Fastrack Construction (GC) and Alderson Engineering (MEP). MC is proud to have provided demolition support structural engineering services for the RFK Stadium Demolition in Washington, DC. MC analyzed the structural steel upper seating frames in their temporary, unbraced condition during demolition, including conditions created by the removal of roof framing and precast seating slabs. In addition, MC performed rigging and lifting stability analyses to support the crane-assisted removal of the steel frames, helping to ensure controlled load paths and overall structural stability throughout the demolition sequence. Working closely with the demolition contractor, Bowen & Kron, MC translated existing conditions and prior engineering evaluations into clear, constructible sequencing and lifting guidance suitable for safe field ex*****on on a large, high-risk structure. MC is proud to have supported the successful dismantling of a nationally recognized structure through thoughtful demolition engineering.

As part of our annual holiday giving initiative, MC is proud to share that we’ve made 30 no-sew fleece blankets this week, which are now on the way to Kennedy Krieger Institute - just in time for Christmas!

These cozy blankets will help bring warmth and comfort to children supported through Kennedy Krieger’s Kits for Kids program. We’re grateful to our team for coming together to support such a meaningful cause and for helping us spread a little extra cheer this holiday season.
