Silver Strike Concrete supplied approximately 15,000 cubic yards of ready mix concrete to Granite Construction for the Pyramid Highway Widening Project in Sparks.

The $66 million Phase 1 project expanded a heavily traveled section of Pyramid Highway from four to six lanes while adding a raised safety median, bicycle lanes, sound walls and a barrier-protected shared-use path.

PROJECT LOOK-BACK | Oddie Boulevard – Wells Avenue

Silver Strike Concrete supplied approximately 15,000 cubic yards of ready mix concrete for the Oddie Boulevard – Wells Avenue Multimodal Improvements Project, working alongside Granite Construction on the transformation of roughly 3.2 miles of this heavily traveled corridor.

The finished project included new roadway, raised concrete medians, continuous sidewalks, a 10-foot shared-use path, raised cycle track and other improvements designed to create safer, more accessible connections throughout Reno and Sparks. It was later recognized as the 2024 Transportation Project of the Year by the ASCE Truckee Meadows Branch.
