Our Collaborative approach to architecture and construction provides homeowners with a single contact to assure clear communication through the process of design and building. We believe the strongest teams are rooted in mutual respect: respect for the needs and aspiration of each homeowner and respect for the dedication and passion of each team member. Every project receives our focused attention
to quality, detail, value and time. Each of our project teams has a Project Architect who focuses on the creative aspect of the design, and a Project Manager who oversees budget, schedule and construction. We organize our projects so that we are able to provide fair estimates at milestones within the design process. Through the design phase, the Project Architect offers options in sketch format. Later, perspective sketches, computer models, computer-drafted drawings, and the review of actual building-material samples help the owners through the myriad of choices they will need to make. The Project Manager plays an active role through the design process consulting on construction practices and techniques and keeping the project in line with the budget. The Project manager also acts as another observer at the table to assure that the client’s ideas are heard. Once Design is complete, the Project Manager becomes the primary contact for the Owner, and prepares the Construction Budget, which, if there has been no change in the project scope, is in alignment with the preliminary budgets. Whether working with our in-house architects or with a client’s architect, our Project managers provide a regular check on the design process. Because our approach keeps open the lines of communication between the owners, the Architect and the builder, we are able to mitigate the stresses to the owner through what can seem a disruptive and chaotic process.
