In this case—cable, and a lot of it…

Staging & unspooling cable at scale is a quiet but critical part of how we maintain consistency and speed through production. Gyre9 developed a fixture to hold & move around the 5ft tall and 3,400 lb spools we work with – it also simplifies spinning the spool to cut cables at various lengths. It’s not the most visible step in the process, but it’s one of the ones that directly impacts how smoothly everything moves downstream.

This kind of behind-the-scenes preparation is what keeps deployment timelines tight and ex*****on predictable when the pressure is on.

This months employee spotlight is on Jose Figueroa

Since joining Gyre9 in 2020, Jose has grown from the assembly line into his current role as Warehouse Supervisor.

Today, he oversees daily warehouse operations—keeping shipping and receiving on track, managing inventory, and supporting the team to ensure everything runs safely and efficiently. His hands-on approach and ability to adapt have been key as responsibilities have expanded.

One accomplishment he’s especially proud of is reorganizing the warehouse layout by rows and numbered locations, making materials easier to find and improving overall efficiency. He also led efforts to mark floors for better structure and safety—small changes that made a big impact.

Jose credits the team culture as a major part of the experience: a group that steps in when it matters and works together to meet deadlines.

Outside of work, he enjoys exploring new places with his wife, ocean fishing, kayaking, and spending time outdoors—usually near the water.
