B+T President Gerry Preble was on hand yesterday as Governor Maura Healey introduced the Mass Ready Act — a $2.9 billion investment in upgrading our state’s infrastructure, protecting communities from extreme weather, and streamlining the path to sustainable housing and natural resource restoration projects.

B+T applauds this bold and necessary step forward. From permitting reforms to resilient infrastructure funding, the supports the integrated, forward-thinking solutions we champion with our work.

These investments will:
✅ Strengthen roads, bridges, and water systems
✅ Accelerate housing development through streamlined permitting
✅ Restore natural landscapes like salt marshes and rivers
✅ Empower communities to reduce flood and heat risk

We're especially pleased to see the announcement of the dam removal project in Braintree — a project type that we know firsthand can restore ecosystems and improve public safety.

🌼 Happy Pollinator Week! 🐝

It’s not just honeybees doing the heavy lifting—did you know butterflies, beetles, bats, hummingbirds, and even moths are essential pollinators too? 🌍

Let’s give ALL our pollinator heroes a round of applause (and a pesticide-free garden).
