Thanks to everyone who came out to see Nikki Conant, VP of Project Delivery, and Matt Panfil, Senior Planner at the 2026 Northern New England Planning Conference last week!

Their session, “Building the Bones for Active Transportation Infrastructure in Communities Without It,” looked at what towns can do when they want sidewalks, bike lanes, and trails but are starting from almost nothing. Nikki and Matt walked through how to take stock of what’s already there, decide where to build first, and grow a network over time, using real examples from our work with Maine communities.

18 employee-owners hit a big milestone this year: 100% vested in our ESOP. Each one walked away with a special vest and a well-deserved round of applause.

What does 100% vested mean? It means every share in their ESOP account is now fully theirs. Whether they stay with us for decades, move on, or retire, that value goes with them. It’s a big step toward long-term financial security, and a reminder that the work they do every day helps build their own future.

Congratulations to Senior Project Manager Robert A. McSorley, P.E. on two decades with Sebago Technics!

From municipal and commercial work to residential developments across New England, Rob has made his mark on countless projects and on the engineers he’s mentored along the way. He also serves his community on local water and sanitary district boards and as a Board member for Camp Scarborough. And when the holidays roll around, he’s known to spread a little extra cheer at our annual party.

Please join us in congratulating Tara Schwen on becoming a Professional Land Surveyor! Tara joined our Survey-Geomatics team just over two years ago after working as a software engineer at ForeFlight, a Boeing company. She quickly found her footing in surveying, getting involved in nearly every service area our Survey-Geomatics team provides, and even lending her programming and data skills to our GIS team along the way. Since then, she’s grown into leading field crews, coordinating projects, and mentoring newer team members. Earning her license reflects years of study, dedication, and hands-on experience, and we’re so proud to see her take this next step. Congratulations, Tara!

Back-to-back golf at Samoset Resort in Rockport, Maine! ⛳ Our teams had a great time at the Maine Better Transportation Association Fall Convention/Outing, followed by the Allen Golf Classic, hosted by Allen Insurance and Financial, where proceeds help send Maine kids to YMCA Adventure Camp. October 1 means one thing around here: National Employee Ownership Month is officially underway! And there's no better way to begin than with one of our favorite annual traditions, the ESOP Month Kick-Off Breakfast.

As a 100% employee-owned firm, every boundary we survey, every site we engineer, and every project we see through construction has a piece of each of our owners in it. So this morning, we fueled up with pancakes, coffee, and plenty of doughnuts while celebrating the team shaping our communities and building something that's truly ours.

Here's to a month of celebrating the Sebago Way!

Our Sanford office is growing! We're excited to welcome Ashlie Mills as our new Regional Business Manager. Ashlie joins us after several years in leadership and operations roles with the U.S. Department of State. She brings strong roots in Southern Maine through her work with youth sports in Wells. We can't wait for our clients and community partners to get to know her.

We're so glad to have you here, Ashlie!
