Isaiah Reynolds and Owen Muller, EI joined our structural engineering team this week! Both are recent University of Maine graduates, and we are so excited to welcome them to Sebago Technics! This spring, civil engineers Lauren Waters and Sam Bibeau mentored two high school students through their Extended Learning Opportunities (ELO) internship program, and it was 10 weeks well spent.

Kaley joined Lauren and got hands-on exposure to road grading, stormwater analysis, site development, and more, even sitting in on real project meetings. This fall, she's headed to the University of West Florida to pursue engineering!

Ron joined Sam and went from observing to actually doing. By the end, he was working through grading, utility, and stormwater design concepts with occasional guidance from his mentor. Sam noted that Ron's curiosity often sparked new ways of thinking about a project, the kind of mindset even seasoned engineers can learn from. Ron is headed to UMaine this fall!

Watching the next generation discover a passion for engineering is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do. A huge thank you to Lauren and Sam for being such thoughtful mentors, and to Kaley and Ron for bringing your enthusiasm and curiosity to our offices. We can't wait to see where you go!

Today we're celebrating Brad Lyon's 20th anniversary with Sebago Technics! Brad has been an integral part of our team since 2006, and his dedication, leadership, and passion for transportation engineering continue to make an impact every day. Over the years, Brad has helped grow our Transportation Engineering practice into a cornerstone of what we do, leading projects across Maine and Northern New England while mentoring the next generation of engineers along the way. We're so glad to have him on our team. Happy 20 years, Brad!

When a 125-year-old Augusta home designed by Maine architect John Calvin Stevens needed to be moved to avoid demolition, the stakes for getting it right couldn't have been higher. Sebago Technics was proud to support J F Scott Construction Company on this project, providing surveying and reality capture services that helped make it possible.

Using high-definition terrestrial laser scanning, our team created a precise 3D model of the existing foundation, capturing millions of data points that documented every surface and dimension before the structure ever left its original site. That digital record became the blueprint for constructing a new foundation at 5 Chandler St. that matched the original geometry with a level of accuracy that traditional methods simply can't achieve.

Historic preservation isn't just about saving appearances. It's about honoring the exact physical relationships that define a building's character and making sure a 125-year-old piece of Maine history has a future as rich as its past.

The 2026 Sebago Technics Summer Internship Program is officially underway! Six students join us across our Site Civil, Structural Engineering, Surveying, and Transportation Engineering teams:

They'll spend 10 weeks diving into real project work, hands-on learning, and everything that comes with being part of the Sebago team. The program wraps up with a group presentation where they'll share what they built and learned along the way. Welcome, everyone!

The Maine Construction Hike for Hope brought the construction industry together in a powerful way, raising over $60,000 for the American Foundation for Su***de Prevention.

Mental health awareness is more important than ever, and events like this one make a real difference. We were proud to participate alongside so many incredible teams and supporters, finishing among the top three fundraising teams.

A special shoutout to our own Shane Kelly, who served on the planning committee for this event!
