Last week, Ranco was excited to be part of the Build My Future event, put on by the Iowa Lakes Corridor.

Over 800 high school students from across the region attended, meeting with local employers and the ability to try real, job-specific skills firsthand.

At the Ranco booth, students helped assemble a drag chain meter unit and then got to see a finished unit with our controls hooked up to it to see it run.

Thank you to the corridor for setting up such a fun event!

One of our awesome electrical technicians, Nick Wittmaack, is on site in Australia, overseeing the electrical start up for this new plant. Word is it's pretty warm there!

TEKAMAH, NE - MIDWEST SERVICE CO.

Two of our electrical technicians, Nick and Brian, spent time at Midwest Service Company in Tekamah, NE getting everything up and running in their new dry fertilizer shed.

Midwest Service Company in Tekamah previously operated with some of our older blender bins on a dial system. They added additional bins, bucket elevators, conveyors and augers and converted their old blend system to our MeshDCS System, which is fully computerized and wireless. They were even able to convert some of their older bins into the new system.

At Ranco, we don't just sell you equipment. We design it, build it, install it, service it and make sure your staff is fully trained on how to use it before we leave the site, so you feel confident and ready to go. If there's ever a question, our electrical technicians are available by phone, and can also access your system remotely.

One of our road crews just returned from Harlem, Montana after finishing install on a new system for a customer. This new system includes a conveyor, bucket elevators, augers, and a tank over declining weigh system. Way to go, team!

Ranco is seeking a full-time road crew/millwright member to join our team.

Ranco is one of the few fertilizer equipment companies that has utilized its own installation crews from the beginning. This means that our crews understand all of the ‘ins-and-outs’ to installing our equipment correctly the first time and in an efficient manner. Our crews are trained not only in the quality of installation, but also customer relations and respect of the customer site.

Skills:
- Math skills
- Basic geometry / must figure angles
- Simple blueprint reading
- Read tape measure
- Reliable and self- motivated
- Must be willing to do extensive travel
- Must be mechanical
- Must be familiar with steel layout and structures
- Must be able to stick weld in all positions
- Cannot be afraid of heights

In all millwright positions, a technical school degree is very helpful. Millwrights are given tasks and need to be able to figure out how to accomplish them.

Millwrights are paid to and from the jobsite and are provided meals and lodging while on the road.
