🎃 Pumpkins, Pie & a Little Friendly Competition! 🎃

Yesterday, the P&M Steel team traded in their steel tools for pumpkin carving tools during our annual pumpkin carving contest!

There was plenty of creativity, a little friendly competition, some questionable carving techniques, and of course, pumpkin pie! 🥧😂

While we take our work seriously, we also know how important it is to step away, share some laughs, and enjoy time together.

It's little traditions like these that make P&M Steel such a great place to work. We're proud of the team we've built and the people who make it special!

Take a look at some of the masterpieces our crew created! 🎃

🔦 October Employee Spotlight: Tate Profilet 🔦

Some people have been part of P&M Steel's story for so long, it's hard to imagine the company without them. Tate Profilet is one of those people!

Tate returned to P&M Steel in 1984, bringing experience from Egger Steel, service in the U.S. Army, and time working as a field engineer for the Corps of Engineers.

🏗️ Favorite P&M Project? The Minnehaha County Courthouse. Tate remembers the size of the project and especially the intricate stair work.

📐 If he could try another job at P&M? Drafting! Tate has always appreciated the precision and creativity involved. To him, drafting was an art form, and there was nothing quite like seeing a drawing become real steel.

🎣 Outside of Work? You'll find Tate enjoying the outdoors, especially fly fishing, downhill skiing, and spending time at the cabin in the Black Hills. He's also a former motorcycle rider and longtime runner.

🍰 Hidden Talent? Tate is known for two dishes: goulash and zucchini chocolate cake! In fact, he used to bring his famous cake to work every year on his birthday. We're thinking that tradition needs to make a comeback!

Tate's experience, dedication, and appreciation for quality craftsmanship reflect what P&M Steel is all about.

Thank you, Tate, for being such an important part of our team and our history!

Another great project taking shape in Sioux Falls! 🏗️

It's exciting to see the structural steel going up at the new First PREMIER Bank branch on Arrowhead Parkway!

Projects like this are a great reminder that strong buildings start with strong partnerships. From planning and fabrication to steel er****on, it takes a dedicated team to get the job done.

Great work to everyone involved! We look forward to watching this one come together.

It's not every day we get to highlight one of our own!

Our Director of Estimating, Nick Underberg, recently joined the Podcast to talk about life at P&M Steel, the construction industry, and what goes into bringing projects to life.

At P&M Steel, we believe our greatest strength isn't just the steel we fabricate. It's the people behind it.

A big thank you to the Build Blue team for the opportunity to share a little of our story!

Today, we pause to remember September 11, 2001.

We honor the nearly 3,000 lives lost, the first responders who ran toward danger, and the countless families whose lives were forever changed.

Twenty-five years later, we also remember the strength and unity our country showed in the days that followed. May we never forget those we lost, the heroes who answered the call, and the importance of standing together as neighbors, communities, and Americans.

We will never forget. 🇺🇸

When good people and local businesses come together, great things happen in our community.

A big thank you to the APX Construction Group team for reaching out and inviting P&M Steel to join them for an afternoon volunteering with Feeding South Dakota.

Our Controller, Tami, jumped at the opportunity to represent P&M Steel and help pack food boxes for 300 seniors in our community.

We’re proud of Tami for stepping up, and grateful to APX for thinking of us and including our team. Opportunities like this are a great reminder that what we build together goes far beyond the jobsite.

Thank you APX and Feeding South Dakota for everything you do for our community!
