Here is a great article on using rotational grazing for chickens on a small property. If you’re raising chickens in your backyard or on a small homestead, rotational grazing is a technique you should definitely consider. It’s simple yet incredibly effective for both your flock and your land.

By moving your chickens to fresh patches of grass regularly, you ensure they have a nutritious and varied diet. They get to eat fresh plants and forage for insects, which boosts their overall health and improves egg production. As an added benefit, as chickens roam, they leave behind droppings that act as a natural fertilizer, enriching the soil and promoting healthy plant growth.

Rotational grazing prevents overgrazing, allowing vegetation to recover and maintain its growth, which leads to a more sustainable and productive use of your land.

To make this process easier, consider using ChickLift, a tool designed to help you move your chicken tractor effortlessly. It’s a game-changer for anyone looking to implement rotational grazing with minimal effort.
