When the machine starts to creak, ping, and tink while sitting idle… there’s a good chance the cylinders are drifting.

Cylinder drift is one of those problems that can show up slowly, but it usually points to something that needs attention.

A simple field check:

✅ Mark the chrome rod with a paint pen
✅ Set a timer
✅ Measure how many inches the cylinder moves per minute

What’s considered “acceptable” drift depends on the cylinder seals, how the load is being held, and whether the cylinder is extending or retracting.

You asked — we listened. And no… this isn’t a joke. 👀

Starting May 2nd, Larger Hydraulic Services will be open Saturdays to better support our customers when you actually need us.

Tentative Saturday Hours:
🕗 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

We know breakdowns and projects don’t always wait for Monday — this is one more step toward being there when it matters. ⚙️

We’ll be running Summer Saturday hours through the end of August, with the potential to extend into the fall as demand continues (especially through harvest season). 🌽🚜

If you’ve got hoses to build, parts to grab, or problems to solve — we’ll be here. 🤝
