We specilize in custom iron work such as; Railing, fence, steel stairways, and other metal work. Owner Alex Langston began welding and working with rod iron upon graduating from high school in 2001. He worked in other welding shops for six years before deciding to open his own where he could be free to produce the custom, hand-made work he aspired to create. ne 2006 in the back of his house in Old Louisville downtown. Customers who wanted to see him came through the back alley to get to his shop; thus the name of the business was created. At Back Alley Ornamental Iron, we pride ourselves on our one-on-one consultations with our customers. Our customers have the option of bringing in their own designs, and depending on the application, we will use 100 percent of the original or work with them to modify their design to our specifications.
