When building molds with intricate features, having the right tools makes all the difference. Sometimes, that means making the tools yourself.
In this photo, our CNC mill is machining a new electrode for one of our EDM machines. Once completed, the electrode will be used to burn a new cavity into hardened tool steel, creating an updated handle design for our Volt Protector Battery Box line.
Don't worry, the handles aren't changing dramatically. We're simply making a few updates to give them a refreshed look while maintaining the same functionality our customers are familiar with.
It's always interesting to see the behind-the-scenes work that goes into even the smallest product improvements.
