In the home stretch of one of our larger projects this year. This is the University of Kentucky Law Building. This building is truly a showcase piece. We had the opportunity to coming and wrap the stair cases and balconies with product called AlumaKlad, which is a 18ga preprinted aluminum, that comes in 4’x10’ sheet. Each piece was formed by us and installed. This particular install took a lot of patients and long hours. Each stair had to be cut for an exact fit around each step as well as butt joints which leaves no room for error. As you will see in the pictures there are several parts that had very little working room.

Custom copper planter liners. Ranging from 7ft long to 40ft long it took almost 30 sheets of copper to complete 4 massive liners. With these going in doors and on the 3rd and 4th floor of a new office building each planter liner had to be made into sections then soldered water tight on location. Before leaving our shop we soldered roughly 300 plus feet of seams since each section was made up of 3 pieces. We also made our own drains out of 1-1/4 copper pipe with our made in house flaring tool.

Added some custom panels with clear plastic curtains to a previously installed custom awning we design and built.

The awning is all aluminum with a hidden gutter design and wire chase. The customer is installing tv's out side and didn't want a glare on the screens so we designed an all aluminum flat black frame with smoked colored polycarb plastic inserts. Heavy duty aluminum corners were built in to mount speaker in to hide and protect from weather. We also added a track system for clear plastic panels to enclose the area for those cool nights. The track design allows the customer to slide the curtain in any direction and tie back out of the way. There are 4 individual curtains that zip together making one continuous piece or unzip and use 1 or 2 panels to block wind or rain while tying back the ones not in use.
