This knife was made for the Contemporary Longrifle Association's (CLA) War of 1812 Commemorative Live Auction. The funds raised by this auction go to keeping the CLA affloat. The sheath is engraved on one side with a depiction of The Battle of Lake Erie, and on the other side with Oliver Hazard Perry's famous words after having won the battle: "We have met the enemy, and they are ours."
