I've had a lot of people ask what kit I was using for the tail lights.
This is not a kit. 3d printed template , 82 super bright leds, and a cob led stripe.
This is all running on a esp-32 dev board. The dev board is also wireless and can update or upload new code to it ..
I've seen a lot of people say getting custom taillights has been a struggle . Weather its back orders , long wait times or even no call backs . So I figured I would see how easy it was to do so.
The esp-32 is much cheaper then the Corso motion boards and you only need 1 not 2.

So its winter and snow is on the ground. I dont do a lot of garage work when it gets cold out. So I decided to tackle on another project in the mean time.

So far the prototype is coming along. Just need to get the led stripe layed out better.

So it's been a while been a little busy. Finished up with that yellow fd and have been talking to the customer to make sure everything is in good standings.
I wasn't able to make sure everything was up to par. Wanted to make sure he got it back to make sure he made a few important meets with it this year. Good thing he was very understandable and we worked out the kinks little by little..
Was finally able to get that black fd going. Had an oil leak on the back motor mount but was able to fix it by resealing the pan and heicoiling some of the pan bolts. Then the hard part wiring! The gauges were not working. None of the cluster was working.Was able to go through and check all the connectors and check voltage/ohms on everything. Finally was able to reground the cluster and bam. Everything works.
Side note . This car was stripped while the owner was in the service and hasn't ran in 10 years plus..

What a weekend.. Thursday tornado hit my town and lost power.
All in all was still able to get this car done for the customer so he can enjoy it for the season.
This motor fought me every step of the way..
Full rebuild plus a nice bridgeport.

So i became slightly busy and forgot to make a video of the black rx7 that I had in.. but ill make a video soon.
Had a 13b s5 get dropped off for a rebuild. Unfortunately I had some bad news for the customer when I told them it needs a front housing , and front iron. The front rotor is rusty. But I think I can salvage it

A yellow 92 efini got dropped off for a rebuild and a bridgeport. Also the customer ordered a great deal of parts he would like to update or replace. It's a very nice very clean car.. hats off to the owner .

As for the black rx7 the engine was salvaged and worked and now she is rebuilt . It runs but not under its own power. There is a ton of wiring problems that need to be worked out as one of the issues is no injector pulse..so that got put to the side for a slight second..

So hope to have a video to explain everything soon.
