The SMT Technician works as part of a team and is an essential part of the manufacturing process. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-starter who is committed to be an integral part of the team. The ideal candidate is motivated by a challenging work environment where there is potential for growth and advancement. Must be detail oriented, and a critical thinker. Previous experience is strongly preferred (2+ years), but willing to train the right candidate.

- Adjust, set up, and operate SMT machines per job order.
- Operate the line to prescribed production run rates
- Load proper parts into machine and fill solder paste.
- Proficiently operate PC window-based programs
- Inspect and test finished SMT products for quality.
- Check and inspect operation against predetermined tolerances.
- Monitor the output of machines to ensure quality.
- Perform maintenance and calibration of equipment as necessary.
- Troubleshoot and perform simple repairs when machines are not functioning properly.
- Consistently meet all productivity and deadline goals and ensure that the area is kept clean and free of hazards at all times.
- Other duties as assigned

Education/Experience Required:

- High School diploma or GED
- 2+ years of experience in SMT electronics assembly preferred
- IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 training/certification preferred
- Basic knowledge of Windows-based computers, MS Word and Excel
- Experience working in an ISO-9001 manufacturing environment preferred.
