The last 3 years, 1st mowings have been a week earlier each year.

2022 season is coming to an end. It was a pleasure mowing this year. A few more cuts at most and this season will be a wrap!
We did over 100 miles on the mowers every week, going across thousands of bumps. We mowed lawns too tall to properly mow and hills too steep for the mowers. Sometimes we just hung on for dear life as the mowers went skidding down the hills, sometimes resulting in getting stuck in the ditches.
Sometimes we were just cruising along and belts broke, parts fell off, wheel fell off or just had a random flat tire. I lost track of how many belts we went though.
The dumpsters seemed to be our worst enemies this year, they would grab the handles and yank the mowers into their sides. We broke at least 3 deck brackets on two different mowers.
What a year! All in all we enjoyed it and I'm very grateful to all our customers who helped us have such a great year and we'll be looking forward to serving you next year. (Don't worry, we'll finish this season first😀)

Throwback Thursday!
I used to mow these lawns 4-5 years ago. This is a good example of how you can mow with no special attachments, striping kits, or high dollar mowers. I paid $1,500 for a used commercial mower and mowed these lawns with no striping kit. Just sharp blades and a well maintained deck, leveled, and kept clean.
The rest of the look comes from a well maintained lawn. Just weed-free, fine blades of grass, and a lot of TLC.
P.S. I learned more from these lawns than any other lawns I ever mowed.

Can we just take a moment to recognize this mighty machine? It may not be the biggest mower, but it has a giant heart. The 994r. It just beat my personal record of mowing acreage in a day.... 32.5 acres! It did all that in 11 hours, hitting a top speed of 15mph and averaging just under 10mph for the day. It did all that with only 10gal of diesel fuel. It isn't the cheapest mower on the market, but I've been wanting one since they came out a little over a year ago and finally got one this spring. It beat my 997 by over 5 acres. What a blessing to have this mower. What's your favorite? 997r, or 994r?
