Proud moment for Quality Iron & Steel 💙

We had the opportunity to speak with welding students at TCAT Memphis for NAWIC Memphis “Breakfast with TCAT” kickoff. It was great connecting with such a motivated group and sharing what’s possible in the skilled trades.

We’re excited about the relationships being built and future opportunities ahead.

This morning, we officially launched Breakfast with TCAT (Tennessee College of Applied Technology- Memphis )—a program our president, Catherine Figueras White, has been working to bring to life for quite some time!
We kicked things off with the Tennessee College of Applied Technology - Memphis (TCAT) Welding students at the Alabama campus, and it was an incredible start. Our guest speaker, Sunny Hughes, owner of Quality Iron & Steel, LLC, shared her inspiring journey in the industry. Her story especially resonated with the female students, showing them what’s possible in construction and the skilled trades.
By the end of the breakfast, exciting connections were already forming—TCAT instructors began discussions with Sunny about touring her facility and even exploring a potential co-op partnership with Quality Iron and Steel for their students.
This is exactly what this program is all about: connection, opportunity, and opening doors for the next generation of skilled professionals. We can’t wait to see where this goes!

We are currently fabricating a custom spiral staircase for the Brooks Museum of Art coming soon to downtown Memphis. This piece is still in process, and it’s exciting to watch skilled craftsmanship and precision come together!
