…and with that our 2024 summer internship season comes to an end!

Infused with both learning and fun, Coughlin Porter Lundeen strives to elevate the internship experience. Gone are the days of errands and coffee runs – instead our interns take on real-life tasks and projects, designed to prepare them for future pursuits in their civil and structural engineering careers. This summer, we were lucky to have seven outstanding interns join us.

Easy, breezy, beautiful… Lofty Lines.

Design poses the opportunity to create something from nothing. By asking ourselves “what if…?”, we open to the limitless possibilities of what we can do. This year’s Seattle Design Festival theme encouraged designers to ask this very question. Teaming up with Mahlum and Aldrich + Associates, Inc. we asked, “What if… we stopped relying on machines and the use of valuable energy resources for drying our clothes?”

Over the last nine years, members of our firm have donned helmets and ridden alongside industry partners to collectively raise funds to drive Multiple Sclerosis (MS) research forward, faster.

Together with GLY Construction, , McKinstry, , Northwest Construction, and , our collective team once again embraced the scenic figure-eight style courses, riding together toward a common goal – a world free of MS.

Summertime and the livin’ is easy…especially in the Pacific Northwest.

No matter where you live in the Puget Sound region, you’re never far from a park. Whatever is on your adventure list, our parks offer access to trails, water, cultural centers, zoos, and even lighthouses. But imagine that you didn’t have to drive anywhere – you could walk out the front door and immediately be in the park.

We’re celebrating the completion of a new Overlake area park where residents enjoy just such an extended amenity space. The centerpiece of the mixed-use community of the same name, Esterra Park, is the first major privately owned public space (POPS) in Redmond and one of the largest in our region.
