Cove Park Grand Opening, Saturday, July 18!
While landscape planting has been postponed because of the hot, dry weather, Cove Park and the Barton Pump Station Expansion project will officially open July 18th. Osborn Pacific Group was responsible for site planning, landscape architecture, and integration of artwork at this community park and beach access. Park visitors will access the beach via a braided stream patterned concrete path flanked by migrating salmon created by artist Tom Jay. Other major art sculptures feature a small boat tie-up depicting Native Americans in Fauntleroy Cove, a Native American canoe, a raven perched in a tree, a salmon bench, transformer gate, and numerous art rocks and artifacts artfully displayed.
