Each assembler is trained on proper procedures-tool usage and knows the flow of the line they are working on and how to meet deadlines. On our production floor we have techs and assemblers with varying skill sets-from simple assembly to complex assembly-for electronic sub assemblies. Our solder line can solder to IPC 610 Class II and III standards-they can solder down to 0201 component size. This particular assembly are acurately cut wires placed in copper fittings and in these fittings is potting compound specially mixed and cured. Everything about this build has to be perfect, no nicks in wire, no bubbles in potting compound, mixed not to crack or seperat. The copper fittings are milled to spec. What happens in TASC's Fablab, run by Mic Mathers?

Small to medium scale metal and plastic manual milling fabrication for fixturing or production ready assemblies. Examples of this are control panelling, unique client designed assembly features like mounting blocks.

3D printing which can also be used for fixturing, prototyping or production ready assembly. I can also use it to make custom silicone molds.

Laser etching on metals and plastics.

CNC engraver that we engrave and fill operations.

CAD, modeling and diagrams.

Mic and his team makes production equipment and tooling, examples: heat shrink cutters, motorized coil winders, ribbon cable crimping dies.

Metal brazing/solder.
