Operated as a Navy facility by Isaacson Iron Works beginning in 1940, the company was sold to Earle M. Since then, Jorgensen Forge has continually expanded capabilities with the addition of premium equipment, advanced technologies and a committed team of experts -- forging the way as a major producer of precision machined products for widely diversified industries. The Jorgensen Forge Corporation is now a privately held ISO 9001:2008 registered company that manufactures high-quality forgings from material grades including and low alloy steels, 300, 400, ph stainless, aluminum alloys, titanium alloys, and nickel base alloys. Specialty grade items are routinely made to order. All Jorgensen Forge products are made in an environment with participative management and profit sharing that are utilized to drive corporate success. The company currently employs 240 people on a 22-acre site with 350,000 square feet of manufacturing space.

What's going on at the Plant this week...

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, 466,000 injuries occur each year in Heavy Manufacturing facilities in the US. That equates to 4 of 100 workers being injured at some point each year, every year.

We are pleased to announce, that over the last 12 years at Jorgensen Forge, there have been ZERO injuries involving the Forge and Heat Treat Staff. That is beyond outstanding!

4,398 days…12 years, 2 weeks and 4 days with no injuries. SAFETY is definitely their ATTITUDE!

Jorgensen Forge was honored to receive the PNDC New Member of the Year Award. Cy Miller, VP of Operations accepted on our behalf.

On Wednesday, November 9, PNDC hosted our 11th Annual Dinner at the Oregon Convention Center.
The dinner featured a keynote presentation from; James MacStravic, Assistant Secretary of Defense for Acquisition, U.S. Department of Defense (DoD). Additional speakers included; Andrew Teich, President & CEO, FLIR Systems; Senator Jeff Merkley; and Congresswoman Suzanne Bonamici.

PNDC celebrated the incredible innovations of Northwest Defense and Security companies. Highlights included the Innovation Pavilion, a display of leading Northwest products, services, and processes; and the launch of the first annual Innovation Award which recognized visionary PNDC member companies that have significantly impacted the overall mission of the defense and security industry.

Incremental improvements have been an integral partof the Virginia-class program from the outset. Every new Block of Virginia-class boats has improved on the previous one.

On Tuesday, August 30, PNDC hosted a Supply Chain Opportunities Conference & Export Luncehon in Renton, WA.
Presenting speakers included Mike Jewell, President & CEO, Jorgensen Forge Corporation and Natalie Kamphaus, Senior Policy Advisory, Office of Congressman Dave Reichert.
PNDC partnered with Impact Washington & Washington State Department of Commerce on both the Supply Chain Conference and Export Luncheon.
