Update:
I stopped by to check on Fitzhugh’s Woods on my way to the Jackson Co. Landfill today and saw the flagpole was down due to recent high winds. So, I fixed it to its place and tightened the hold. I also zip tied the lower grommet to the pole.
I believe the DOT (Dept. of Transportation) trimmed the grass at this civil war site.

“What’s he doin’, Cletus?”
“Heck if I know, Ralph.”

“That must be the world’s biggest bucket.”
“Think there’s any oats in it?”

“Yeah. With carrots and apples on top.”

It’s been two years for Mr Good Dumpsters this past August 9th and yesterday was pretty tough day.

I wanted to help a buddy out and got stuck behind a train that was going absolutely nowhere and didn’t care what I thought about it. So, I turned the trailer around and took another route even though it was a few miles out of the way.

An hour and a half later I arrived, loaded the dumpster, and got stuck for the second time since I bought the business. Of course as soon as it happened I regretted my decision. Should have taken one of the other two exits with solid ground. This one looked flat and dry but was wet underneath a foot of dry land and I didn’t know how heavy the contents were (it was multiple tons).
Cost me more than I charge for a 20 yard to get out, but had to do it.
Lesson learned.

While I was in Benton, I bought some old school vinyl records at Retro Rose, had a gluten free supreme at Larry’s Pizza-Haskell and a double scoop of bourbon walnut ice cream at Loblolly Creamery in Benton. The good food and the people serving them saved the day. 🍦🎵

Oh, and Republic Services in Bauxite has a very nice attendant at the front gate. Very nice! Great service! 👏⭐️

Update: This may have not been classified as an EF1 tornado as I was initially told.

Got caught in the EF one tornado this afternoon near Beebe. I saw some transformers blow and had to backtrack because one road I usually take was down due to limbs.  There was some hail and very high winds and I was concerned for my safety so I pulled into this church parking lot on Hwy 67 but I saw two transformers blow near me and I immediately left.
I’m OK. I hope you and your family are OK too.🙏🌪️
