At Humboldt Sawmill Company, our cogeneration plant in Scotia produces biochar as a byproduct of energy production. Biochar is a stable form of carbon that can be used in soil amendments and compost, helping improve water retention, conserve nutrients and support beneficial microbial activity.

Every two years, the Monterey Design Conference (MDC) brings together a diverse blend of globally recognized speakers to inspire and educate – all in a scenic and vibrant location that delivers a unique communal experience.
