Testing a few features on this machine, along with saving this 400cid Mopar block with roughing minimum out of the bores.

This block will receive Bronze lifter bushings, new main caps, Molnar crankshaft/rods, with Diamond pistons, and many more upgrades along the way for a nice 500cid build at the end.

This will all be done in our T&S blockmaster in a few short weeks.

Going to be a nice winter project for this customer.

Evening Everyone! I know we keep posting the same updates, but we are down to the wire finally on this T&S Machines and Tools, Inc. Blockmaster CNC Delivery.
We have taken in a lot of work over the past few weeks, so we have a lot of open jobs at the moment. For the next 3-4 weeks (our guess) we will be very focused on this delivery, setup, and then the final full week of training.. Yes, still working on the jobs we have here in between all of this.

Reminder of the new capabilities we will have just with this machine alone;
-CNC Bore & Hone (Both the T&S) & Rottler Manufacturing H85AX Hone
-Decking/Resurfacing
-Main Bore/Align Bore (Main Cap Replacement/etc.)
-Camshaft Tunnel boring
-Lifter Bore machining/bushing install(s)
-O-Ringing
& Much more!

As long as things go smoothly (pending any delays, issues, etc. that are out of our hands), we should have an amazing updated shop for the future! It is now that time to reach out if you'd like to get your build in for this winter-early Spring 2027.

Probably a block/engine we may never see again. 1936 DeSoto 241. Somehow found pistons for this thing, and we got these cylinders tune up right.

I know many have seen our posts, but the CNC hone has been an absolute game changer! Spent a TON of time breaking in all the holders and new diamonds/CBN finishing stones. Got quite a few jobs done with it too. Itā€™s been an awesome learning experience and proud to say this is ours to help serve all of you better! We can go from a bore size of 2.990in-4.630in safely. We had to send a lot of smaller cylinder jobs (motorcycle/etc.) elsewhere, due to our backlog over the years, but this thing may help us get back into those for those who would need it! No, itā€™s not going to be ā€œon the cheapā€ either.
We are about a little over a month or more depending on shipping/etc. out from taking delivery of our T&S Blockmaster CNC. Cannot wait to have that paired with this beast of a hone on our shop floor! Winter list is already building up, and those of you with jobs here now, please know I will be in touch! Stay tuned! Thank you all!

Finished up these 18 degree small block chevy heads last week. Quite the process. Came in with a coolant concern. Found the CNC program must of been just a "tad" too much when these were first developed. Pin hole in the intake port into the valve seat provision. Pressure tested, found the flawed area, had Brandon DeCordre weld it up after we machined the spot away enough for him to weld/repair. I then blended it all into the new valve seats we installed and set these off with a nice valve job.
Going to be racing 8.50index next season! We have these setup for the full engine build we will be doing. Definitely going to be a great build going on this winter at our shop!

Another BMW M10 in the hone!
Process here is the ā€œfine tuningā€ getting the last .0005in out of the bore to final bore size. Allowing the finished bore size set to JE Pistons requested (Pistons-to-wall) clearance.
As I said before, this thing is impressing us day by day!
Learning all the little tips/tricks to dial this thing in perfectly!

Some great content from todayā€™s honing session on a Dart SHP small block Chevy.
Drag race build!

Got these bores dialed in nice with the Rottler Manufacturing hone.

Plate honed for a 4.125 bore, and a final plateau finish hone with the CBN stones! Dialed it in nicely with profilometer and we are happy with the result šŸ¤“

This thing is freaking awesome!

As Moran Motorsports said ā€œLet us hone your blocksā€

Stay tuned, waiting on pistons for A LOT of jobs, so we will post up what we can!

We have no where near the facility that Moran has. But we got that exact hone and best believe we are monitoring the results tailored to each build going in this hone every time.
Iā€™ll be there with the lab coat šŸ„¼ and profilometer, dialing in the results šŸ¤“
