Ok my FPV friends and fam. I'm starting a micro drone/ whoop race league! I love micros/whoops. I feel they are more accessible to everyone, I feel the learning curve is a ton smaller (no pun intended lol) which will grow the community at a better rate. They are cheaper which makes it more appealing to new pilots, and we can fly them indoors so mother nature can stick it! Now I have no problem securing the dopest of locations for these race series'. We've also started grabbing locations in other states to broaden how the series can be played out (shout out to DDC Denver) Wouldnt you like to be in a league where the winners dont have to spend their money on travel simply because you won. I gotchu. Dont you want to be in a League where EVERY week you win cold hard cash to do whatever you want with. I gotchu. I've got the layout, I've got the locations, hell I even have the news blowing us up on the reg for the story of this movement. I've got a s**t load of sponsors near the hook but we gotta show'em this is something more than what it is right now cause they see DRL and DCL and MultiGP and they are like "we want in! keep sending us your content and milestones and when it's right, we'll be on board." This is where I'd like the community's help. If you like the layout of the League below, donate $5 to help get it started at the bottom of this message. I believe in this so I already gave my 5 on it (big ups to the Luniz) aswell as one other pilot and if you dont want to donate, Hakunamatata my friends! I'm still going to make this happen, itll just take longer.

***What to expect at GameWorks Schaumburg on race night***

1- The Fun Starts 5pm. Arrive later if you want or work late👍. GameWorks itself closes at 2am. Fly your little hearts out for 2 minutes to try and put in your fastest lap. After the timer rings at 2 minutes, finish your last lap landing at the Landing Pad. Lap timed races will go till 10pm. We will be running four person 3 minute rips that are not lap timed after which, until 1am.

2- Pilots flying pay 20 and you will get a Pilot's Tag, fill out your name and Pilot's name.

3- Go to the tech table to get your channel assigned by Cloudy McCloud Face.

4- Put on your gear and take your quads to the pit tables to get your stuff on channel between races. You will be let known when it’s ok to plug in to change channel. (Only pilots at the pit table will be allowed to plug in between races. To prevent crashes, absolutely no plugging-in in the pilots waiting areas.)

5- Your Pilot Tag is your place holder in the race lineup. You will move through the roster from “staging” to being “on-deck” then “on the flight line”. Your Tag will be announced when you’re “on-deck” in the next heat giving you roughly 2 minutes to have yourself and your whoop at the start gate to race.

6- Meet all 4 pilots in your heat at the starting gate to race as soon as the last pilots from the previous heat land at the Landing Pad. You will be told when your group is to plug in. If no one is at the pit table this will be very quickly following the previous race. All 4 pilots in your heat plug in together and go sit in the flight line (area location soon to be decided) to race.

7- We're here to have fun so fyi bring a lot of packs. If you crash during a race and need help, call for a marshal to flip you over, it helps if you know where you are to get a marshal there faster.

8- Your fastest laps are tracked in the timing system and on your pilot tag in the race roster.

9- Have fun, be kind, help your fellow pilots AND enjoy the night of racing.

FPV Thursday night race rules and regulations

Prizes
1st - $200
2nd - $200
3rd - $100
4th - $100

RULES:

DUCKED QUADS ONLY, no weight limit. If you think your Cinawhoop can hang, you can try... but don’t expect to smash any records.

25mw ONLY. We will be using Raceband 1 3 6 8

Winning laps must be DVR reviewed by a marshal.

No laps ran after 10pm will count toward cash prizes.

What to expect as a pilot at Drink on race night

1- Arrive before 5pm. Arrive later if you don’t need practice or work late.

2- Pay $10 and get your Pilot Tag with your pilot name on it.

3- Go to the tech table to get your channel assigned by Dave or Josh B

4- Put on your gear and take your quads to the pit table to get your stuff on channel between races. We will tell you when it’s ok to plug in to change channel. (Only pilots at the pit table will be allowed to plug in between races. To prevent crashes, absolutely no plugging-in in the pilots waiting areas.)

5- Your Pilot Tag is your place holder in the race lineup. You will know when you’re racing by your tag moving up through the roster from “staging” to being “on-deck” then “on the flight line”. Your Tag will be announced when you’re “on-deck” in the next heat giving you roughly 2 minuets to have yourself and your whoop at the start gate to race.

6- Meet all 4 pilots in your heat at the starting gate to race as soon as the last pilots from the previous heat land at the Landing Pad. You will be told when your group is to plug in. If no one is at the pit table this will be very quickly following the previous race. All 4 pilots in your heat plug in together and go sit in the flight line in front of the bar to race.

7- Fly your little hearts out for 2 minuets to try and put in the fastest lap. The timer rings at 2 minutes and you finish your last lap landing at the Landing Pad below the stairs. If you crash during a race and need help, call for a marshal to flip you over, it helps if you know where you are to get a marshal there faster.

8- If you want your fastest lap to be counted for that race you must provide DVR immediately following that race to get your lap verified.(I don’t want to dig through a bunch of videos because you walked around for an hour with your goggles on recording everything) We will have a marshal station for you to pop out your DVR chip and export your race to a laptop at the flight line for your lap to be verified. This is only necessary when you break your record as only your fastest lap will be counted.
If you don’t have a DVR tell your race organizers and we will record for you.
It’s a long and technical course, pro pilots get below 30sec laps while the rest of us are lucky to get two laps in total.

9- Your fastest laps are tracked in the timing system and on your pilot tag in the race roster. If your tag has a lap time that hasn’t be verified by DVR your next fastest lap that you have verified will count as your fastest. So get us that footy!

10- Have fun, be kind, help your fellow pilots AND enjoy the night of racing.
