Since we could talk, my brother and I have had a love of cars (and all things related), all thanks to our dad. That love has helped form a business that my brother and I operated part time for nearly 3 decades, until 2020 when I left my professional job to devote all my efforts to this business. With the new found time, I am just wrapping up building our long anticipated website theoldcarpartsstor
e.com We have a number of new and improved things in our business plan, that will be happening soon! Back in the early 90's my brother was getting married and needed some money. We gathered up a bunch of parts from his 68 Camaro that we drag raced around the Northeast and headed to Epping, Hew Hampshire for the Super Chevy Show. He made much more money than he expected and we thought, wow we could make some money doing this AND have fun! We bought and sold parts at swap meets across the Northeast for the next decade. After having a particularly unsuccessful weekend at a show, we decided it was time to get on the bandwagon and join this new exciting thing called ebay. We went home to put our first items on auction. Our first sale was a 1949 Chevrolet Hood Ornament and it sold for a whopping $15. We were sold on ebay! Well after many years of doing ebay we recently started doing swap meets again as we miss visiting our favorite shows and the escape from the daily grind. We once again have discovered a niche' and that swap meets can be used very effectively in conjunction with ebay. That is where we still buy a lot of our parts. We do rely on many local sources to replenish as well. One of our favorite things, is to get a call that someone wants to clean out their garage, basement or barn. That said, we are always looking for parts! Our focus is on Vintage Car Parts from the 1920's - 1970's. For the past 27 years (18+ on ebay) we have taken great pride in locating, acquiring, cleaning, identifying and selling all kinds of car and truck parts from the 1900's with a focus on the 20's through the 60's. We also deal in Gas, Oil, Service Station and any other Automobilia and Petroliana related items. Any advertising items- be it a oil can, sign, or anything that has advertising printed on it! So about our name..."No Mercy Brothers Parts Locators". The name sounds a bit intimidating, and while at times I guess we can be, it is more of a nickname that was coined years ago (drag racing days) and has stuck with us ever since. We added the slogan "We Locate Parts With A Vengeance" after realizing a niche market of people looking for a specific original part but having no luck finding it elsewhere. After reading our ebay feedback, you will see that we are often exceeding expectations and our attention to detail in our shipping department has become legendary. Please check out our store (The Old Car Parts Store) and add us to your favorites as we are listing items on a daily / weekly basis. Happy bidding! -Rick and Doug Lyon
