Back to the grind at a regular job just means putting in the hours on weekends. Steel deck posts with custom mounts and cable railing. All from customer supplied materials is a tedious but fun project. May be overkill but will far outlast the current wooden railing.

Nine years is a long time to be away from the race track.
A “simple” chassis clean up, seat mount modification, and lowering job.
This quickly turned into a complete rework of the seat mount frames, interior sheet metal rework/replacement, new upper shock mounts, front bump stop replacement, a handful of various chassis repairs, a TON of wire wheeling/various clean up, paint (FINALLY!!!), and some reassembly.
This old race truck is just a couple of hours from heading home for full reassembly that I am more than excited to help with to get this thing back out on the dirt where it belongs.

A front receiver, winch mount/installation, and an extended trailer hitch on his new utv will get this customer back out...

That’s a wrap for this “business” trip. Good times with great friends. Didn’t get as much done as I’d hoped but it’s coming along nicely. Left on a mostly torn down note with a lot left to do, but am excited to see what they come up with for a finished product.

With most of the cutting out of the way, it’s time to get back to fabbing up framework and sheetmetal. Sure is nice being able to work outside and with doors open in January. A guy could get used to this!
