Maupin Engineering is pleased to provide engineering design services for Arya Hospitality’s new 146-room dual-brand Marriott hotel in Port Wentworth. The hotel will be located at 187 Magellan Blvd. along the I-95/Highway 21 corridor.
It will combine 88 extended-stay suites under the TownePlace Suites flag and 58 studio suites under the SpringHill Suites brand.
The new hotel is expected to open in mid-2027.

It’s Official! Two of the newest Foundations Early Learning Centers are OPEN in the Low Country: Berwick (near Kroger) as well as Richmond Hill (near Heartwood).
Maupin Engineering is happy to be on the team to bring these state-of-the-art childcare and early learning programs to new areas with several more slated for 2026 and beyond.

CELEBRATING MILESTONES!

20 YEARS!
Jay started MEI in April 2005 when he decided branch out to create a unique firm focusing on superior client experience with excellent engineering.

10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY
Alexine joined MEI in March 2015 and quickly advanced to Project Manager due to her sharp intellect and design eye. She’s more than a team member at MEI; she’s family.

We are happy to collaborate with the infamous The Savannah Bananas on their newest improvements to Grayson Stadium! The all-turf field will be so a-PEEL-ing to fans and players alike!

Last year, we added 1,000 new seats to Grayson Stadium, and this year, we are creating the greatest experience that Grayson Stadium has ever seen! We are adding LED lights, a new Daktronics Video board, and an all-turf field!

MEI has closed the office today so that our team members will not be out in the aftermath of this storm. While power is out across town, we will answer phones as possible. If you must go out, be mindful of downed power lines and trees. Be safe out there!

Today's the day! We are so excited to announce a new change that will bring about so many benefits, not just within MEI, but beyond our office as well.

Introducing: Chatham Materials Testing and Inspections.

Our long-time employee, Ben P. McKay, P.E., is an expert in materials testing and inspections. He joined MEI in 2014 in part to build this department, but with the long-term goal of branching off into his own company. We can now officially say that as of today these dreams are a reality!

After 10 years, and many successful projects together, (not to mention a great business relationship) it is time for this to happen, and we are pleased to be facilitating this venture with him.

Be assured that we will continue to work closely together, and his office will remain alongside MEI in our current location. Please join us in congratulating Ben on this amazing achievement. We are so proud of all the hard work and dedication he has put in to make this dream come to fruition.
