** Update **
I'm sure you all are aware that we are going through some extremely crazy times right now and that is putting it lightly. No one in our industry has ever dealt with anything this extreme before and we are all struggling to navigate through this each day. From price increases to extended lead times to material availability issues, nothing is a guarantee right now for us.....and to pile on top of that, the demand for materials is at an all-time high for most of us. Planning months in advance has never been more important! Here are a few things that we ask you to consider:
- If you are waiting on or looking for material quotes, please understand that pricing is literally day to day and your material quote can only be held to the day it was figured.
- Most of our suppliers have gone to “price time of delivery” which is forcing us to follow suite.
- With the current market conditions, it’s not productive for us to quote things out if they are not going to be built for months out….pricing is to unstable and we are swamped as it is. We ask you to please be patient and work with us on getting your material priced out closer to the date you will potentially start.
- We have never before required our customers to provide us with a down payment, but in these crazy times if we are to try and attempt to hold any pricing at all, we will need to have some type of down payment prior to us ordering any material. Please work with us on what that needs to be.
- Lead times are extremely far out on several big ticket items….from floor & roof trusses to windows, we need to be planning 8-14 weeks in advance on some items.
We are asking all of our customers to please be patient with us as we try and work our way through all of this and please know that we are going to do the best we can to help our customers through these crazy times as much as possible.
