Throwback to a beautiful project completed over 4 years ago on Anna Maria Island.

Last week, the owners of this beachside home had us back out to look at building them a new awning to help keep the rain off their deck. While we were there, we got to revisit a large multi-story architectural metal package completed inside and out — including approximately 250 LF of exterior balcony railing, a custom steel mono-stair system, and an interior post-and-clamp glass railing system along the stairwell.

The exterior balcony railings were coated in a favorite of ours, Sun Storm Silver, and after more than 4 years of sun, salt air, and coastal exposure, the finish still presents beautifully overall.

Inside, the glass railings pair well with powder-coated aluminum posts, handrails, and the steel mono-stair to create a clean, modern feel throughout the home.

At Metal Tek, we don’t treat our work as just a code requirement. They’re an architectural feature that can define the look, feel, and experience of a space — whether it’s a home, balcony, observation deck, or commercial environment.

Finalizing a current project for this new home on Siesta Key with Clark Horne Construction.

We finished installing our matte black multi-line horizontal bar rails for the porch, along with gated stair rails, and will be adding some panel enclosures for the AC.

One of the more popular styles of metal railing in newer homes, for its transparent and minimalist feel, and sleek aesthetic that suits modern architectural designs.
The style of railing provides relatively unobstructed views and makes it is easy to distinguish the section and vertical posts.
