Honoring the Legacy of Augusto “Kiko” Villalon:
We are deeply saddened by the passing of Augusto “Kiko” Villalon, the visionary founder of Marine Concepts. In 1976, Kiko set out to redefine what was possible in design and development for fiberglass boat builders— creating a company that could take a project from concept to reality, all under one roof. We’re sharing a collection of special memories over the years, including one capturing Bob Long signing the purchase agreement from Kiko.
“The team at Marine Concepts would like to honor Kiko’s remarkable contributions to the marine industry. From founding Marine Concepts in 1976 to his influential work with NMMA and ABYC on craft design, safety, and quality, Kiko was an industry titan—one whose shoulders many of us proudly stand on today. Our teams in Cape Coral and Sarasota extend our deepest condolences to Kiko’s family and pledge to carry forward his founding vision with pride and purpose.”
