Containerized or modular-frame? Two planning directions for data center enclosures. 🏗️
A modular-frame approach can support a configured building system. A containerized approach can support a rugged, repeatable enclosure format. The right direction depends on the project brief.
• Category One uses a modular-frame building architecture for custom layouts and larger support spaces, with precision HVAC integration
• ISO Container construction begins with a transportable container format for equipment packages, power distribution, battery integration, and site-coordinated installation
• Compare both directions when the project has defined equipment, deployment, access, thermal, electrical, and site requirements
• Cooling and ventilation are sized around the equipment heat load. UL 508A control-panel capability and factory acceptance testing are available as specified
• Off-site design and fabrication can proceed alongside approved site work; schedule impact depends on design, procurement, approvals, and field conditions
What we build: prefabricated electrical buildings (e-houses), UPS and battery room enclosures, generator enclosures, and cooling and mechanical room enclosures. Fabrication, electrical, controls and suppression are built in-house by our own team in Santa Rosa, CA.
