In this role you’ll lead site development, stormwater, roadway, and utility projects from concept through construction. You’ll manage design, schedule, and budget, mentor junior engineers, and work directly with clients, contractors, and permitting agencies.

What we’re looking for:
✔️ Florida P.E. license (required)
✔️ BS or MS in Civil Engineering
✔️ 4–7 years of civil design experience, ideally in residential or commercial land development
✔️ Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
✔️ Experience leading progress meetings and coordinating with contractors

Starting your career in construction or engineering? O’Connell & Associates is looking for an entry-level Construction Coordinator to join our team. You’ll get real field experience with mentorship from day one.

You’ll be our eyes on the job site. You’ll make sure contractors build to the plans, specs, and schedule, and you’ll report progress and keep projects moving. Day-to-day work includes:
🔸 Field inspections, water testing, leak investigations, and balcony railing inspections
🔸 Reviewing submittals, change orders, and pay applications
🔸 Updating schedules in Microsoft Project and communicating through Procore
🔸 Leading Engineer-Owner-Contractor meetings

What we’re looking for:
✔️ 0–2 years of experience (recent grads welcome!)
✔️ BS in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred
✔️ OSHA 10 a plus
✔️ Ability to read plans and specs
✔️ Comfortable climbing ladders and scaffolding, working at heights, and lifting 30 lbs

Do you enjoy finding where the water is getting in, and figuring out how to stop it? O’Connell & Associates is looking for a technically minded professional to join our waterproofing and restoration team.

You’ll work alongside senior staff to evaluate existing buildings, including roofs, walls, windows, balconies, sealants, and coatings. You’ll investigate water intrusion, prepare repair drawings and specifications, and help guide clients through construction. Our projects include condominiums, commercial, and institutional buildings along the Gulf Coast.

This role is a great fit if your background is in:
🔹 Architecture or architectural/civil engineering
🔹 Building-envelope consulting
🔹 Roofing, waterproofing, or façade systems
🔹 Construction or technical material representation

What we’re looking for:
✔️ 2–4 years of relevant experience
✔️ Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred (equivalent experience considered)
✔️ Ability to read construction drawings and specs
✔️ Familiarity with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or Revit a plus
