Typical day at the Forge… metal

We flew to a cattle ranch to cook dinner and came home thinking about it more than we expected to.

Field Journal No. 1: a few days in Grass Valley with the Richards Regenerative family, a fifth-generation ranch raising beef the hard, honest way since 1941. We came to sear steaks over fire. We stayed for the hogs tilling the soil, the cattle rotating through the grass, and a campfire “Hotel California” that nobody asked for (yes, there were bongos).

Regenerative beef, hand-forged cookware, good people. One hell of a life.
