Open registration for the 7th Neurotherapy Conference at the Beach closes October 23. On the 24th it costs more. I’m not going to pretend that isn’t a sales deadline. It is. But I also want to say plainly what you’d be paying for, because it isn’t three days of lectures.

It’s three days with the people who are actually moving this field.

Day 1 — November 5. Tiff Thompson, PhD, on building effective recipes in multimodal neurostimulation. Then the welcome reception on the wharf.

Day 2 — November 6. Yury Kropotov, PhD, keynote. If you’ve read anything serious about ERPs in the last twenty years, you’ve read him. Evening is Yoga Nidra and a sound bath, because your nervous system is also at this conference.

Day 3 — November 7. Jay Gunkelman, QEEG-D, keynote. Then the celebration dinner at a private estate up in the oaks. Day 3 is in person only. That’s deliberate. Some things don’t stream.

What does a musician's brain look like under the influence of everyday wireless technology?

We recently had the opportunity to sit down with Tyson Ritter, lead singer of The All-American Rejects, for a live EEG (brain mapping) session using NeuroField EEG technology. The question on the table: what actually happens to the brain frequencies most closely tied to creativity when an active cell phone is held against your head?

The results were striking. Measurable shifts appeared across multiple brainwave frequencies, including Theta and Alpha, the ranges researchers have long associated with imagination, intuition, and creative flow.

The session also included a third condition: repeating the phone exposure test with an Aires Tech device present. What the scans showed was notable. Many of the shifts observed during phone exposure alone appeared less pronounced, with brain activity patterns looking closer to Tyson's original baseline.
