304 is the workhorse — strong corrosion resistance for most indoor, structural, and general-purpose lines.

316 adds molybdenum, which stands up to chlorides, salt air, and harsh chemicals. That makes it the grade for coastal, marine, food and beverage, and wastewater service.

A Mill Test Report (MTR) tells you exactly what you are installing — the chemistry, the mechanical properties, and full traceability back to the heat it came from. Skip it, and you are trusting a stamp instead of the material.
