ATTENTION WELDER REPAIR SHOPS, REBUILDERS, AND PCB REPAIR GUYS!!!

If you work on welders, then you already know how bad the parts markup has gotten. Some places are charging 3 to 4 times their cost, and it’s the repair shops and customers who end up paying for it.

That’s exactly why I built this feature into the LM Welder Control App.

Inside the app, customers can open the map, find welder repair shops in their area, view reviews, and see any special deals or promotions those shops are offering. On the other side of that, shop owners can sign up, get listed on the map, advertise their business, and reach more customers.

My bigger goal is this:

If we can get enough welder repair shops signed up and working together, parts distributors and manufacturers will have a much harder time ignoring us. I want to push for real discounts for welder repair shops, not some weak 5–10% cut. I’m talking about serious pricing breaks and hopefully even giving members the chance to buy direct from manufacturers.

Right now, the shop membership is $19.99 a month, but my goal is that by this time next year, if enough people join and support it, I can drop that to $19.99 a year.

And I want to be clear about something else — that money is going right back into development. I’m building this to help all of us. I also plan to offer my control to members at only 10% above manufacturing cost, so you can buy them, install them, and sell them at whatever price works best for your shop.

Also, the marketplace is free to use, even if you don’t sign up for the membership, so shops and individuals can still use it to buy and sell machines and equipment.

As a shop owner myself, my goal is simple:make this industry more affordable for the repair shops, the builders, and the customers.

The app is on the iPhone App Store and is free to download.

Big things are coming.

Ahead of the release of my new welder control, I’ve officially launched the companion app. This app does a lot more than just control machines — it’s built to give welders and shops useful tools all in one place.

Inside the app, users will be able to control supported machines, browse the marketplace to buy and sell welders and equipment, and use the shop map to find welder mechanics and repair shops. Shops can advertise their business, offer deals, and collect customer feedback directly through the app.

Best of all, the app is free to download, so you can get on there now, look around, and see the features that will be available with the control.

The upcoming control will support Lincoln SA-200, SA-250, Classic 1, 2, and 3, along with 300G and 300D models.

I plan to start selling the control within the next few weeks, but I wanted to release the app early so I can find and fix any bugs before launch. If you download it and notice any issues, please let me know.

I’ll also be posting videos over the next few days so you can see exactly what it can do.
