Floor pans: These take a while to cut out in pieces, drilling spot welds, removing seam sealer, prying out piece by piece, rust clean up on framing, preparing, welding, blending, and painting... 43 hours was spent on these front pans.

Here at Buxton's Fab & Dab we build things on a fixture table when possible. Here's a little table maintenance being done. That 50" straight edge is being used to verify the flatness is still in spec. The surface of those plates are nitrided which helps resist wear and tear and things like spatter. I have come to appreciate the difference in the quality and precision achievable when stepping up from a garage floor, to a plate steel table, and on up to a reputable fixture table.
