Modern Linear is proud to sponsor Flame of the West: Team 2584 in the FIRST Robotics Competition for the 2019 and 2020 seasons!

Team 2584, composed of students from both Viewpoint and Reseda High School, fought hard to make it all the way to the 2019 World Championships in Houston as a special wildcard invite. They are aiming even higher for 2020, with their sights set again on the top step in Houston.

The participating students are learning valuable engineering skills such as CAD, machining, programming, and the importance of strong engineering documentation. These experiences help prepare them for opportunities at the college level and beyond.

After weeks of design modifications and improvements, we are happy to finally release our new ENDURO Linear Guide Actuator.

The ENDURO is designed around a robust, machined steel tube with our Double Edge Track mounted directly to the frame. 2-Bolt cast iron fl**ge bearings and a steel reinforced timing belt provide no nonsense, reliable travel. We've designed a completely new carriage plate with built-in adjustment and optional lubricator attachments. Easily accessible mounting points and near unlimited drive shaft options means the ENDURO Linear Guide Actuator can be integrated into both new and existing machine designs.

The ENDURO is:

- available using size 2 or 3 guide rollers

- can handle loads up to 1528 lbs

- available in custom lengths up to 12 ft

- fully customizable to suit application

- also available with roller chain drive

We take our packaging pretty darn seriously here at Modern Linear.

Many of our components such as track and rail can be long and heavy creating challenges with standard shipping. By fitting all our customer's parts in a single crate cut down to the exact maximum allowable by UPS, we were able to save the customer time and money by getting a single shipment at a standard rate.

In addition, our warehouse staff cut wooden partitions specific for this order to ensure that all parts stayed together and there was no risk of the container breaking and parts being lost in transit.

Our mission is to get the parts to the customer quickly and efficiently, and our expert shipping staff ensure that every order is prepped and packed to the highest industry standards.

Hot off the mill! A specially designed version of our Single Edge Linear Track featuring custom, countersunk holes and spacing. Having our engineering staff in house allows to work directly with our customers on unique projects like this.

Modern Linear products have been specified for a wide variety of machinery, including military equipment. When one of our customers needed a way to keep their Double Track Linear Guide equipped refueling trailer corrosion-free, we suggested a very simple and cost effective approach: painting the components. The military-spec camo paint was the same as what was used on the rest of the trailer, and kept the system running smooth even in the toughest conditions.

For wet and contaminated environments, corrosion resistance is a paramount concern. Even with mild contamination, corrosion can result in functional issues and eventually machine failure. To best prevent corrosion, Modern Linear offers stainless steel versions of our linear v-edge track. In addition to stainless steel material, we also offer electroless nickel plating and black oxide treatments as options for our customers.
