"Home batteries wear out in a few years." Myth. 🔋
Per Tesla's Powerwall Limited Warranty (USA), Powerwall 3 is covered for 10 years from installation, with 70% of its 13.5 kWh energy capacity guaranteed at year 10 and unlimited cycles for solar self-consumption, time-based control and backup.
One detail worth knowing: repairs or modifications by anyone other than Tesla or a Tesla certified installer aren't covered. Who installs and services it matters.

Not driving a Tesla? A Tesla charger can still charge it. ⚡
Tesla's Universal Wall Connector has both NACS and J1772 plugs, and per Tesla it can charge nearly any EV sold in North America today. The standard Wall Connector has a NACS plug, so step one is matching the plug to your car's charging inlet.
Then we size the circuit to your car's onboard charger and your panel (Tesla lists 15 to 60 A circuits, up to 48 A continuous). Your EV maker's guidance sets your car's max amps.

Since April 2023, new solar in California goes on net billing (SDG&E calls it the Solar Billing Plan). Per the CPUC, the solar you send back is usually credited below the retail rate, and SDG&E's priciest hours are 4 to 9 PM. Powerwall 3 stores the solar you don't use during the day so your home can run on it in the evening.
We check your roof and panel first, design solar + Powerwall 3 together, and handle the permit, inspection and SDG&E interconnection.

Where will your Powerwall 3 actually go? 🔋 4 placement rules from Tesla's own install manual.
1️⃣ Not in the living space: Tesla says Powerwall "is not intended for installation in habitable spaces and living spaces in dwelling units." Think garage or outside wall.
2️⃣ Out of the car's way: keep it out of the driving path, on a side wall and/or above bumper height.
3️⃣ Keep water away: no flood-prone spots, and no downspouts, sprinklers or faucets above or near it.
4️⃣ Room to breathe: 36 in clear in front, 4 in on each side, 2 in on top (about 32 in of wall width).
At the site visit we check how you park, where the water goes, the clearances and the run to your panel, then pick the spot before you sign.
