Stämm Stämm is a biotechnology company dedicated to making biomanufacturing easy, scalable, and repeatable.

Stämm is applying nature's use of laminar flow to down-size a biotech facility into an all-in-one, plug & play desktop unit with unidirectional flow and continuous production: The Bioprocessor. 🚀 We have developed the first methodology for continuous industrial production of biologics and cell therapies leveraging microfluidics and 3D printing. ed the total amount of biomass globally, which means it matched everything that is alive on the planet. We can only expect that this number keeps increasing since it's key to solving humanity's systemic challenges. But we have to make sure that conquering the great challenges of humanity doesn’t extinguish the planet’s capacity to sustain life. The current way of biomanufacturing has provided humanity with innumerable solutions. Bioprocessing is the most efficient way to align human advancement with a thriving nature. In order to prevent nature from perishing, we aim to put it at the center of all human activities by incorporating its knowledge system within the process of achieving humanity's prosperity. Founded in 2016, Stämm mimics nature’s use of laminar flow to down-size a whole biotech facility into an all-in-one, plug & play desktop unit. Our focus is to decentralize bioprocesses and democratize access to biotechnology products, thus freeing our partners to focus on the disruptive discoveries that make an impact on people’s life.

En 2022 tuvimos el honor de formar parte del programa Endeavor que apoya a startups de alto potencial y de rápido crecimiento. Esta fue una gran oportunidad para ser parte de una comunidad de emprendedores que superan los límites de la innovación en sus respectivas áreas. Somos la primera compañía seleccionada que además pasó por Scale Up.

Our Design Teäm has expanded! We are very happy to welcome our new Stämmers Dalia, Juan Ignacio, Javier, Augusto and Matias who joined us in these last few months.

To develop innovative solutions in the biomanufacturing field using microfluidics and 3D printing, it is vital to prototype and design structures that optimize every process. This is the main goal of our Design Teäm, who work closely with all of our technical teams. Today, the Design Teäm is composed of 8 talented people within the industrial design, prototyping, and mechanical engineering fields.

Thank you to our new Stämmers for joining our project with enthusiasm and joyfulness.

"Bioprocess" might sound like a technology confined only to the scientific world, but it's actually quite the contrary. In our day-to-day life, we run into many products of this technology. Vaccines, diagnostics, and therapeutic proteins all depend on bioprocesses, so do antibiotic agricultural products and fuels, amongst others. As you can see, they are crucial to meeting many of humanity's needs. Wanna learn more about this bio-based technological phenomenon? Our are inspired by and its wisdom. We can compare the microchannels in our Bioprocessor with vessels found in a human body, or the double gyroid in our BFB structure with the one in a butterfly's wings. We owe a lot to nature, as a company, and as humanity as a whole. This is why we make it our priority to protect it and learn to become more every day.

Some of the steps we've taken so far are:
- The use of different bins for materials, waste, and paper and cardboard.
- A bin that turns organic waste into a valuable fertilizer that can enrich the soil
- Accommodations to encourage our Stämmers to use transportation to come to the office (mostly bikes), such as showers and a place to park their bikes.

Meet some of the New Stämmers that joined the Silico Teäm in 2021!
Ezequiel, Alejandra, Delfina, Gonzalo, and Pablo joined us last year. As the name suggests, the Silico Teäm excels in a big range of computer (in-silico) expertise.
Their goal? To optimize the work we do by providing software and tools that our different departments use to streamline processes. This way, they make our everyday tasks more efficient and productive as a whole.
The Silico Teäm is composed by the Machine Learning Dept., Software Development Dept., Front-End Development Dept., the Embedded Softwares Dept. and the Bioinformatics Dept.
It's a pleasure to keep welcoming talented, ambitious, and devoted Stämmers to our Silico division.
