For this La Jolla project, handmade terracotta takes shape through a hands-on process that goes beyond standard tiles.
Moulds, cuts, curves, and carefully formed pieces turn raw clay into a collection of distinct geometries, each with its own role in the final composition.

For this residence in Palo Alto, terracotta was not simply selected, it was custom-developed for the project.

Created in Italy specifically for this home, the glazed terracotta cladding was tailored to the architecture’s distinctive curved geometry, bringing together a considered finish, precise detailing, and a material expression unique to the project.

Through close collaboration with our Italian partners, COORITALIA helped translate the architectural vision into a custom-made façade, where every detail contributes to the whole.

A material designed not just to cover a surface, but to shape the character of the architecture.

Continuing our look at this beautiful New Mexico residence, we’re highlighting another part of the material palette we supplied for the project.

Alongside the exterior and interior bricks used for the walls and fireplace cladding, we supplied Crema Luna stone for the Gallery paving and a 5 cm thick Crema Luna slab for the Powder Room vanity top.

A thoughtful combination of brick and natural stone brings depth, texture, and a sense of continuity throughout the home.

For this beautiful residence in New Mexico, designed by Bohlin Cywinski Jackson architects, our terracotta Long Format full brick establishes a strong connection between the architecture and its natural surroundings.

The warm, earthy tones and linear brickwork define the home’s horizontal volumes, creating a dialogue between solid masonry and expansive glass openings. Inside, the brick walls extend into the corridors, bringing texture, warmth, and continuity throughout the spaces.

A thoughtful balance of material, light, and landscape, where brick becomes an integral part of the architectural expression.

A traditional material, shaped around the architecture.
For this residence in the Hamptons, New York, SK1N terracotta shingles were used to create a distinctive exterior that follows the home’s curved walls.

To achieve the geometry of the design, the shingles were custom-cut into smaller pieces, allowing the material to seamlessly adapt to the curves while maintaining the rhythm and texture of the façade.

A thoughtful approach to material and craftsmanship, where every detail is shaped to work with the architecture.
