Next week, ATA Engineering will participate in the Joint Army-Navy-NASA-Air Force (𝗝𝗔𝗡𝗡𝗔𝗙) June 2026 meeting in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The event brings together members of the JANNAF Interagency Propulsion Committee, which fosters collaboration across government agencies to advance propulsion technologies through coordinated research and development efforts. The committee also works to standardize technical procedures and nomenclature, facilitate the exchange of technical knowledge, and address shared challenges related to propulsion systems and their applications.

On Tuesday, June 2, ATA Engineering’s Dr. Christopher Ostoich will give a presentation entitled, "𝘈𝘦𝘳𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘭 𝘓𝘰𝘢𝘥𝘴 𝘗𝘳𝘦𝘥𝘪𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘈𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘢 𝘔𝘦𝘭𝘵-𝘐𝘯𝘧𝘪𝘭𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘚𝘪𝘊/𝘚𝘪𝘊 𝘞𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘚𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘢 𝘙𝘦𝘶𝘴𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘏𝘺𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘰𝘯𝘪𝘤 𝘝𝘦𝘩𝘪𝘤𝘭𝘦,” during the program. ATA Engineering congratulates Mr. Timothy Marinone, who has been nominated by the Society for Experimental Mechanics (SEM) to serve on the SEM Executive Board as a member-at-large, a prestigious honor in recognition of his technical expertise and longstanding contributions to SEM, including at the annual International Modal Analysis Conference (IMAC).

In addition to delivering testing solutions for dozens of ATA clients over the years, Mr. Marinone’s contributions to SEM include longstanding participation at IMAC, where he has published and presented over ten papers on experimental testing and data analysis methods, chaired technical sessions and served on the conference advisory board. As an at-large member, Mr. Marinone will represent the diverse membership of SEM and play a vital role in executing the organization’s mission and vision. He will formally accept his nomination next week at SEM’s Annual Conference in Norfolk, Virginia.

ATA Engineering is proud to recognize Mr. Marinone for this distinguished nomination, and we thank him for his contributions to SEM and the technical community at large.

Hosted by The Aerospace Corporation, the SCLV workshop brings together key stakeholders across the space community, providing a forum for aerospace professionals and industry experts to share emerging technologies, analytical techniques and best practices for designing, analyzing and testing modern space systems for loads, acoustics, vibration and shock.

This year’s workshop will highlight ongoing research in the dynamic environments field, featuring sessions on key topics in spacecraft and launch vehicle design and analysis. Highlights include discussions of advanced hardware, novel testing approaches and state-of-the-art methods for analyzing loads and solving problems in dynamic environments.

ATA Engineering is proud to have contributed to the successful first flight of the Erinyes™ hypersonic glide vehicle as part of the Missile Defense Agency’s Hypersonic Test Bed-1 (HTB-1) mission in 2024. In recognition of these efforts, ATA received a commemorative model of the Erinyes vehicle from Kratos Defense and Security Solutions.

ATA’s work on the program included performing a modal survey of the HTB-1 flyer and supporting material characterization and property modeling. Through a rigorous engineering approach and specialized expertise in material characterization and modal testing, ATA contributed to the development of the Erinyes vehicle and its achievement of key HTB-1 mission objectives.

This recognition highlights ATA Engineering’s continued role in advancing high-performance aerospace systems and supporting critical hypersonic development programs.
