Your furniture has to fit through the building before it can fit the floor plan.

The dock, or the curb if there is no dock. The first doorway and whether that door comes off its hinges. The corner nobody measures, where turning radius matters more than width. The elevator, where interior depth and door height decide everything, not the floor plate. Then the threshold of the room itself.

Not every desk in the building needs to be the flagship.

Activ Pro 2.0 is the height adjustable desk for the rest of the floor: two or three stage legs, T or C foot, a 225 pound lift on two stage and 250 on three, and an easy-to-program four preset switch as standard. Furniture day goes smoothly when the room is actually ready.

Flooring down and cured, because furniture set on an uncured floor leaves marks that do not come out. Paint finished and dry. Power and data live and tested, not roughed in. Dock booked, elevator reserved, and a building contact who answers the phone that morning. Old furniture gone rather than stacked in the corner of the room being installed.

Most of that is somebody else's job, which is exactly why it gets missed.
