What does a roof actually look like after a Permanent Roof Anchor has been put through repeated testing?

We pulled things apart to take a closer look.

In this behind-the-scenes video, we show you the roof deck, truss and anchor components after numerous rounds of testing, including what happens when the lag screws are removed.

Spoiler: Everything is in remarkably good condition. And even with the lags removed, the anchor remains firmly adhered to the shingles.

It's one thing to talk about how a roof anchor is designed and tested. It's another to see what's actually happening underneath it.

FAQ: How long does it take this to clean a solar array?

Short answer is approx. 20 minutes for 4 panels.
This cleaning robot is not supersonic fast, so if you're a cleaning company this isn't the setup for you. But if you've got an array in a remote area, where bringing in water is a challenge, it works great to set it and forget it while you tend to other maintenance tasks.

Well... we found another use for the Mod Mover.

It was originally designed to do one thing: make moving solar modules around the jobsite easier.

Then we took it out on a recent ground-mount install and had an idea.

Instead of one person pushing the module up the racking and holding it in position while another installer secures it, he attached a line to the Mod Mover and applied leverage.

Same Mod Mover. Completely different application.

We design tools to solve problems installers deal with every day, but we especially love when getting them into the field shows us they can solve problems we hadn't even planned for.

One tool. More ways to make the install easier.
