Our first product, the Ability Hand, is a bionic hand that is the fastest on the market, robust to impacts, and the first to give users touch feedback. It is also reimbursable by Medicare in the US, expanding access from 10% of potential users to 75%.

Today, we’re introducing the PSYONIC x ABB Robotics collaboration 🦾

Steve Lemos is a mechanic from San Diego who lost his hand two years ago. He was worried he’d never be able to do the things he used to take for granted. Now he’s back under the hood with the Ability Hand, doing the work he’s done his whole life.

The same tasks Steve performs in his garage are now being replicated by two ABB GoFa cobots, each equipped with an Ability Hand. The same hand Steve uses to get back to the work he loves is now teaching robots how humans move.

As robotic volumes grow, the cost of the Ability Hand comes down for the people who need it most.

Over two weeks, Ability Hand users tested our low battery alerts in real-world situations and shared honest feedback about what worked and what didn't.

85.7% rated the alerts as very positive for helping them stay aware of battery level during daily use.

The PSYONIC team visited the California State Capitol for COPA/ Lobbying Day alongside the Amputee Coalition.

California is currently in the infrastructure-building phase of the So Every BODY Can Move movement - laying the groundwork for legislation that would require insurance coverage for prosthetic and orthotic care for physical activity. Right now, thousands are denied that access because it's deemed "not medically necessary." The human cost is real: inactivity, isolation, and long-term health consequences.

SEBCM's goal: 28 states by the 2028 Los Angeles Paralympics, then federal reform. We believe in that mission - because the technology we build only matters if people can actually access it.
