PSYONIC

PSYONIC Advanced bionics that seamlessly integrate with humans and robots.

PSYONIC develops advanced bionic limbs that are accessible to all people with limb differences. Our first product, the Ability Hand, is a bionic hand that is the fastest on the market, robust to impacts, and the first to give users touch feedback. It is also reimbursable by Medicare in the US, expanding access from 10% of potential users to 75%.

Proud to be one of the 80+ companies part of Arm Total Design for Physical AI, and to have contributed to the Robotics Capability Framework alongside Arm and others across the industry.

As robots become more capable, there needs to be a clear way to describe what those capabilities actually mean. This framework is a practical starting point, a shared language that supports how companies across the ecosystem innovate together instead of in silos.

The Ability Hand runs on Arm's compute platform, and we're thrilled to help shape how it evolves 🦾

Today we launched Arm Total Design for Physical AI, bringing together more than 80 companies across the ecosystem, with many more set to join.

The goal is simple: reduce integration complexity and help the ecosystem build, validate and deploy physical AI solutions faster.

One of the first initiatives is a Robotics Capability Framework, creating a common language for defining robotic capabilities and the system requirements needed to scale them.

Together, we’re accelerating the next phase of agentic AI in the physical world. https://okt.to/sK6oZm

Testing an Ability Hand for the first time used to take weeks. The Koalaa socket changes that.

Dale chats with Sanish, Head of Product at , as he breaks down how they built a socket that gets people in, comfortable, and using the hand in no time.

Access starts with removing the barriers. This is what that looks like.

We took over the news 🦾

The PSYONIC x ABB Robotics collaboration is everywhere, and we're not mad about it. When a story about bionic hands teaching robots starts hitting broadcasts across the country, you know the mission is landing.

What we build for humans benefits robots. What we build for robots benefits humans. Feels good to see that message reaching more people than ever.

What used to take weeks now takes seconds 🦾

Aadeel sat down with Koalaa Founder Nathan Macabuag at their HQ in London. Koalaa builds universal, lightweight sockets for upper limb differences, and pairing them with the Ability Hand means someone can try it on and start using it almost immediately, instead of going through the custom socket fitting process that usually takes weeks.

Both companies were built around the same idea: access shouldn't be the barrier. This collaboration is what happens when that shared belief meets shared engineering.

That’s a wrap on our fourth year at San Diego Comic-Con International 🦾

‘PSYONIC: Bionic Arms in the Real World’ brought together Ability Hand users and a packed room of fans for our most well-attended panel yet. Luke Skywalker, Furiosa, and the Winter Soldier all use bionic hands on screen. Our panelists use them in real life.

Real lived stories, shared in a room full of people who love these characters, some of whom have bionic arms of their own. A bionic perspective, from both sides of the screen.

Huge thank you to our panelists, to everyone who packed the room and asked incredible questions, and to this community that keeps showing up year after year.
Same time next year? 🕷️

Dale will be walking through everything new in v3.0 of the PSYONIC Ability Hand app, including low battery alerts, the new hand avatar, a redesigned home screen, an improved connection experience, and more. We'll also dive into the Grip Editor to help you build and refine custom grips for those tough-to-tackle tasks.

It's a chance to catch up, meet some new faces, share feedback, and learn from other users.

🗓️ Today, Monday, July 27
🕒 3:00 PM PT / 6:00 PM ET

The PSYONIC app is the control center for the Ability Hand, built around one idea: once you leave the clinic, your device should still be yours to configure.

Build dedicated grip collections for any activity. Use the Grip Editor to design exact custom finger positions. Adjust touch sensitivity and vibration feedback until it feels right. View your muscle signals in real time and dial in your control settings. When new firmware drops, push it straight to your hand over the air.

For clinicians, it’s a precise toolkit for fittings and calibration. For Ability Hand users, it’s the independence to keep optimizing for their life.
