It is with heavy hearts we share Rick Engineering Company Principal, Bob Stockton, has passed away. Bob worked at RICK for nearly 40 years and was a close friend and colleague to all of us. Outside of his professional accomplishments, Bob was a generous philanthropist, accomplished endurance athlete, devout Christian, revered public servant, and most importantly, beloved husband and father. Our deepest condolences at this devastating time are with Bob’s wife, Kelli, and children, Nathan, Heather, Adam, Travis, and Emily. Created by Mathematics Engineering Science Achievement (MESA), Shadow Day matches students with employers to gain insight into technical careers of interest. RICK hosted 12 students, inviting them to network, shadow, and learn from our Community Planning and Landscape Architecture, 3D Laser Scanning, GIS, Surveying, Topography and Aerial Drone, Public Works, Civil, and Transportation experts.

RICK San Diego engineers attended the 69th Annual Engineers Week Awards Banquet hosted by the San Diego County Engineering Council (SDCEC).

We commemorated National Engineers Week (February 16 - February 22) by celebrating our in-house engineers for designing, building, and maintaining the foundation of our modern society!

Each year, in honor of Engineers Week, RICK San Diego participates in Engineering Day at the Mall - an event inviting young students to engage with Science, Technology, Mathematics and Engineering (STEM) concepts. This year, RICK will be hosting a booth that provides a stormwater model system where kiddos can get their hands wet and learn about stormwater runoff.

Join us this Saturday, February 22, from 10:00am - 4:00pm at the Chula Vista Center (555 Broadway #1019, Chula Vista, CA 91910). Bring your family, friends, and young ones - this is an activity that all will enjoy!
