CFE Services began as an effort to help organizations develop products that include optical technology. Optics is rarely completely independent from the remainder of the system. Most optical systems involve: mechanical components, electronics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and /or software. We have developed a wide array of skills, tools, and processes to help develop new technology, increase t
he maturity of invention to product, design / analyze / build prototypes, mature products from prototype to pilot production, and to transfer pilot production to in-house manufacturing or contract manufacturers. Working in organizations that include private companies, technology start-ups, universities, and government (e.g. NASA, DoD) enables a wide perspective on how to streamline processes to fit the existing culture. Working with large and small organizations has enabled us to take the best practices and apply them to right-sized organizations. Understanding technology at a deep level and being able to communicate this to the broadest audience, prepares us well to work at the forefront of technology as well as the manufacturing floor and the boardroom.
